I am looking for either help with a bot I am using or suggestions on different bots to try. I am running windows XP. I am currently using infobot 0.45.3, but if I try to use its traceroute functions as well as some of its other functions, I get a error report saying that the perl command line has crashed. Does anyone have any ideas on y this is happening? This is a perl bot, and I'm pretty sure that I've done everyting right. I'm also looking for toher bots to try. I just tried yybot 4.52, but I couldn't get it to run. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I found YourBot, and so far its nice, but if I try to ue the status command, it gets kicked off for flooding. How, I don't konw, because it posts to me one line in a private chat, but I would guess because of what it puts in the status windows. I'll have to look.

I personally recommend using custom dlls for irc bots, and then just linking them with mrc scripts.
I wrote one a while back, it was just bits and peaces out of other bots, (which you can fine vast quantities of by googling irc bot). I have yet to find a decent one that works like it should and doesn't crash at random or have some hidden backdoor.
